Helen Mary V. Marek.jpgHelen Mary is intricately involved with all aspects of TFI’s traditional and electronic media and website design. Her expertise includes computer graphics, presentation visuals, design and layout, corporate identity, photography and photo editing, and displays.

She lends her talents to other TFI projects including Leadership Mindset Successand MiniTrends projects. Activities range from promotional design to the cover and graphics of the award-winning book MINITRENDS: How Innovators & Entrepreneurs Discover & Profit From Business & Technology Trends by Dr. John H. Vanston with Carrie Vanston.

Helen Mary plays a pivotal role in the production of the bi-annual book Communication Technology Update and Fundamentals, now in its 18th edition, providing on-demand graphics and moving all chapters from draft to camera-ready in just a few weeks. The book is particularly popular as a college text and published by TFI. She did the layout and logo for TFI’s New Telecom Quarterly journal, Futures’ Features e-letter, and Futures Forum newsletter. She also designs TFI holiday cards.

In addition to her creative responsibilities, Helen Mary serves as VP of Operations of Technology Futures where she leads day-to-day corporate operations and general management. She is the event liaison of the popular TFI Technology Conference.

Helen Mary is also the Artistic Director of the non-profit, Art 84 which presents impactful original art, music, and dance through technology, media, and events. Art 84 also explore the intersection of art and technology. TFI is a founding sponsor of Art 84.

Outside of TFI she is a visual and graphic artist creating decorative art and jewelry utilizing a range of new and repurposed materials, photography, and traditional media. She often incorporate beads, rocks, branches, leaves, and other items into her abstract and impressionistic art. Helen Mary holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Texas State University and, prior to that, studied Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin.
