Mr. Dan Westin of Motorola has worked in a number of different international telecommunications product management and marketing functions. He has worked as a participant in the TIA TR45 and TR46 committees and was directly involved in the work on the SS7 inclusion into the IS-41 standard. Having worked on the NMT, TACS, AMPS, D-AMPS, and DCS1900 as well as CDMA systems while involved in large network developments such as the nationwide cellular networks of the United States, Italy, The Netherlands, and China, Mr. Westin has worked with most of the different cellular systems technologies in commercial use.

Mr. Westin holds an MSEE from Chalmers in Gothenburg, Sweden and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is Area Manager of Marketing of Motorola’s Asia Pacific Cellular Infrastructure Group.
