Dr. Eli M. Noam is Professor of Finance and Economics at Columbia University Graduate School of Business and Director of the Columbia Institute of Tele-Information. He has also served as Public Service Commissioner engaged in the telecommunications and energy regulation of new York State. His publications include over 200 articles on domestic and international telecommunications, television, information, and regulation subjects. He served as a board member for the federal government’s FTS-2000 telephone network of the IRS’ computer modernization project, and of the National Computer Lab.

Dr. Noam received an A.B., a Ph.D. in economics, and a J.D. law degree from Harvard University.
