Dr. Donald R. Martin is an associate professor in San Diego State University’s School of Communication. His area of expertise is the development and management of new telecommunications technologies. He is also a consultant on new technology issues for Cox Communications in southern California. Prior to returning to teaching in 1993, he spent many years in management positions at KPBS(TV)-FM, San Diego’s public broadcasting stations, where he developed and managed new telecommunications services. Dr. Martin received a B.A. in speech from Otterbein College, an M.S. in television-radio from Syracuse University, and a Ph.D. in communications from Ohio State University.
