Dr. Ron Haberkorn, a principal engineer at Steinbrecher Corporation, is working on the design of a public indoor microcell cellular base station. Before joining Steinbrecher, he initiated a wireless communications program at Racal Datacom, Inc. He spent several years at Mitre Corporation where he headed up the Advanced EHF Satellite Terminals project. From 1980 to 1985, Dr. Haberkorn was at the Francis Bitter National Magnet Laboratory at MIT where he helped set up the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Center. Dr. Haberkorn received his Ph.D. from MIT for his thesis on solid state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.
